Secret Sauce Shrimp Pasta: Bold, Savory & Ready in 30 Minutes

This shrimp pasta is the kind of dish that looks like it took all day but comes together in under 30 minutes. The secret? Granddaddy's Secret Sauce stirred right into the pan sauce, adding a deep, caramelized savory flavor that clings to every strand of pasta and every juicy shrimp. This one's going to become a regular in your rotation.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons Granddaddy's Secret Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in well-salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
  2. Pat shrimp dry and season with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook 1–2 minutes per side until just pink. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in white wine or broth and let simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in Granddaddy's Secret Sauce and lemon zest.
  6. Add drained pasta and toss to coat, adding pasta water a splash at a time until the sauce is silky and clings to the noodles.
  7. Return shrimp to the pan and toss everything together. Squeeze lemon juice over the top.
  8. Plate immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and parmesan if desired.

Tips & Variations

Make it creamy: Stir in 3 tablespoons of heavy cream after adding the sauce for a rich, velvety finish.
Add vegetables: Cherry tomatoes, spinach, or artichoke hearts all work beautifully tossed in with the pasta.
Swap the protein: This sauce works just as well with scallops, chicken, or Italian sausage.
